I want to bring change to the transphobic bill- HB112. This bill not only violates NFHS(National Federation of State High School Associations) laws about trans youth being allowed to play their genders sports, as HB-112 mandates that participation in school sports at the K-12 and college level must be “based on biological sex.”, while NFHS states in title IX “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”. And as public schools are funded by the government/NFHS(a government organization) They have to follow this law, meaning Montana will either be defunded by the government to keep it in place or change the law affecting trans youth.
