Town's existing seafront is decaying. There insufficient access to the Town's beach for bathers, walker and boaters

Warrenpoint's seafront has been allowed to decay. It needs new paving. It needs more litter bins. It needs more lighting. It needs more features such as fountains. Warrenpoint is bereft of public art. more statues reflecting the town's maritime past.  The town's sea front once had fountains. The seafront needs more access to the beach itself. Disabled access is insufficient indeed non existent for most of its length. The issue of pavement parking needs to be addressed. Most especially the town's seafront needs public support not just from the town's residents but from the many visitors to the town, who come to enjoy the sea air, to bathe in the waters of the Lough and to admire the spectacular scenery. The Town's Edwardian Baths need restoring. Climate change affects our seafront. We need it secured for further climatic changes - rising sea levels and stronger storm surges. Ratepayers in the town contribute a lot to the Council's coffers. Time we got some of it back. Your Rates. Your money. Your children's future.
