Withdraw Freedom of the city of Newcastle award from Aung San Suu Kyi

The Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded the freedom of the city of Newcastle in 2011 by Newcastle City Council.
The long-time campaigner for civil rights and freedom of speech in Burma spent most of the past 20 years under house arrest.
Previously International humanitarians including Nelson Mandela, Bob Geldof and Andrei Sakharov have also received the city's highest honour.
But it is absolutely disgraceful, and unacceptable that she has been silent while there is a genocide happening against the Rohingya community in Myanmar, Burma.
In the last week, more than 3000 Rohingyan have been massacred, and Aung San Suu Kyi has added fuel to the situation by calling the Rohingyan community terrorists.
Aung San Suu Kyi should not share this prestigious award with others such as Nelson Mandela and Newcastle City Council must withdraw the award.
