Keep Music Live at Queens Wharf Hotel
This petition made change with 296 supporters!
The Newcastle City Council has recently made it so that a popular music venue, Queens Wharf Hotel, can't have live music on a Thursday/Friday/Saturday before 6:30pm.
This directly affects all the soloists who are regularly booked on Saturdays between 3-6:30pm, & on Fridays at 5:30pm. They most likely won't be booked after 6pm as the venues will want bands and then they will be without work. Which equals an estimate loss of $4,200 income per year (if they're booked at this venue once a month).
As winter is approaching this is a big blow to the financial security of the musician's within Newcastle's music scene. Many of whom rely on bookings such as these as their sole income.
Please stand with the musician's of your city, Newcastle, to keep music live.
