From 1st July 2021, Newcastle City Council are charging blue badge holders a parking fee in their council owned car parks. This is yet another attack on an already vulnerable group who has been let down time and time again with benefit cuts and impossible decision making rules!

It's bad enough that nurses have to pay to park at their place of work. Now it means that disabled people might have to pay regularly to park where treatment of some kind may be administered. Or park further away, because "On-street" parking is still free. Like some kind of consolation?

Only recently did I find myself discussing the government's mistreatment of disabled people. This is just another example in a long history of discrimination, but; this time it's local government, with it's mix of cross party councillors 

It's not good enough!!

The decision must be challenged!!

The decision must be changed!!

Let's get as many people to sign this petition so we can bring this issue to the attention of people who can make that change!!
