Karen has Multiple Sclerosis and is currently in Mexico undergoing Autologon haemopoietic stem cell transplantation.
She will be undergoing 28 days of intensive medical treatment and high dose chemotherapy at Clinic Ruiz in Mexico, and will have NO immunity. 

"My husband and I are very disappointed with the result of my medical exemption applications being DECLINED yet again! after correspondence from my Neurologist & Doctor specifying that I am a high risk case to be placed into isolation with my immune system being depleted.  I am re applying  again and begging you to reconsider on compassionate and medical grounds for an exemption. 

I have grave concerns my case has not been given the attention needed to make a wise decision factoring my poor condition. This will be the most challenging time of my life both mentally and physically, and i would appreciate support to help me through this, which is to be approved to complete the isolation period of 14 days in my home. I need and ask you allow me to isolate at home in Pyes Pa, TAURANGA where I will live by myself separately.  (similar to any Hotel accommodation) I Will need a strict Neutropenic diet and hematology blood tests. Which I can have at home. I am happy to have Covid tests & random security checks as required.

Confirming I am a law abiding citizen and agree to my obligation to do and complete the 14 day isolation quarantine which is a requirement by the NZ government and I will take it very seriously. 

I am very concerned about my HSCT recovery when I return and am held in MIQ.  My concern is the high risk of Sepsis, which can be fatal with no immunity. 

Daily media coverage on the positive COVID cases in MIQ facilities, actually does not instill me with confidence.

Departing New Zealand by myself, travelling Wheelchair Assistance on the 1st May. I am Arriving back to NZ on the 29th May again travelling wheelchair assistance.

Please help Karen isolate at home she is very afraid to go through everything she is going through with the treatment to then have to return home and get sick or catch covid in MIQ.
