Jing Wang started this petition to New Zealand Government and

We are a group of people who have made contributions to New Zealand and hope to stay in New Zealand and continue to contribute to the development of this country.
New Zealand government ignored our existence and directly abandoned us.We were refused to enter New Zealand. The main reason for this result is that New Zealand government has closed the country and the Immigration Department is inefficient. It is extremely unfair to each and every one of us. The New Zealand government has always advocated democracy, fairness and justice, but obviously this decision is very regrettable!
These people have worked, studied and lived in New Zealand for a long time, including: 1. Due to the epidemic situation, the New Zealand government closed the boarder and did not allow us to return. They had worked and lived in New Zealand for many years (3 years more) and made a lot of contributions to New Zealand. They hold valid visas and cannot return because of the closure of boarder; Even some people's visas have expired or are about to expire. And some people have applied for new visas. Due to the low efficiency and long time of the Immigration Bureau, new visas are not approved either;2. Due to the impact of the epidemic, lockdown or staying overseas cannot return to school and finally complete his studies through online classes. Unable to get an open work permit due to dissatisfaction with the length of face-to-face learning;3. Those who have passed the EOI and submitted a resident visa application to the Immigration Bureau and were waiting in line for approval. They were unable to return due to the closure of the epidemic situation, and were unable to obtain resident visas; Among them, many people's applications are rejected because of the low efficiency and inaction of the Immigration Bureau, which is entirely the responsibility of the Immigration Bureau;4. Many people who have just graduated from universities, masters or doctorates and have not yet had time to apply for post-graduate open work visas. They are the talents that the New Zealand government should retain most, but they have been abandoned, too; And many people who, affected by the epidemic, convert the post-school open work permit into a study permit. They use the lockdown time during the epidemic to enrich themselves and continue to study. Their purpose is to serve the society better. They should not be abandoned;5. The New Zealand immigration office does not accept the new post-school work permit application. Or , It is unable to enter New Zealand after the application is approved because of the epidemic , resulting in the expiration of the open work permit.
All of these people, without exception, have contributed to New Zealand. Therefore, I urge the government to expand the scope of visa applicants.
