Hello everyone, 

I am a mother who is concerned about the welfare of all working mothers. I am starting this petition because I don’t see anyone talking about extending the maternity leave for mother’s. We typically get 12 weeks which isn’t enough. Our babies are still infants who can barely turn their heads. We are forced to find babysitters, some who we don’t even know if we can trust.  

We are at work while wondering about the safety of our children. This isn’t healthy for our mental state while not even being healed completely from growing another human in our body. We need longer maternity leave for our babies and our sanity. At least 6 months of PAID maternity leave. 

I really hope to get this petition going because this topic is not spoken about anywhere. We are women and we should have more rights when it comes to maternity leave. Please support this petition, think of your mothers, sisters, aunts, friends and whoever needs longer maternity leave!
