Please help pass the Vincent Scheppa Bill.Ny assembly A03415 Bill will read as, a parent or relative who is licensed by N.Y medical boards  can be paid under Medicaid law at the same rate of pay as an outside agency nurse.                         

Presently under NY Medicaid laws,NYS will not pay a parent or relative who is licensed wh is capable to care for a loved one who requires skilled nursing care at  the same rate of pay as a nurse from an outside agency. Under the current CDPAP the rate of pay for a relative is the same whether licensed or not which is lower than a skilled licensed nurse. Sometimes bringing strangers into to your home to care for a loved one who’s condition is compromised and must be monitored diligently is a scary situation. A mother/father /brother or sister who is licensed  by NYS  should be able to care for a loved one and be paid at the same rate of pay as a stranger.

Please help tell Albany to pass the Vincent Scheppa Bill Ny assembly A03415
