The traffic on Collamer Road has increased more and more over the past year.  The speed limit is 50 mph but cars consistently exceed the speed limit and pass unsafely. In very recent months, a neighbor had a car land off the side of their house, an Amazon van landed feet from their dining room, a car lost control, flipped on its side and landed in another neighbors front yard, and again today a car went off the road, hit a  poll and landed in my driveway. Thank God no one was killed in any of these accidents, but it’s just a matter of time. The Town of Manlius has directed us to call State DOT, State DOT says to call local police, local police don't answer but in the past they have said to call the town. A sheriff today directed us to call the town. What do we do?  The speed limit on Collamer Road needs to be reduced and a No Passing restriction needs to be put in place, especially between Schepps Corners and the intersection of Collamer and Fremont Roads.  There are children on this road along with adults who cannot safely be out in their own yards. In the the 3 most recent auto accidents on Collamer Road, every vehicle landed in someone’syard. We need your support!!!
