To All Fisherman Who Care About Their Fishery:

Striped Bass (Morone Saxatilis) are perhaps one of the most prized game fish of the American East Coast. For centuries they have been sought after for their delicious taste and heck of a fight. They inhabit both fresh and salt water, up and down the East Coast of the US.

Recently, the Striper population has been rapidly decreasing, especially the big ones. Every year a fewer number of trophy sized fish are left to reproduce and replenish the Striped Bass population. This is due to the masses of fisherman who take home a full limits worth of giant cow stripers.

The solution is simple. A slot for Stripers should be put into effect by the Department of Environmental Conservation. A slot style size regulation would provide a minimum and a maximum length size to distinguish keeper fish from the rest. In effect, the larger reproducing fish can survive to create the next generation of Striped Bass, ensuring a great fishery for all!!
