New York City's Department of Education continues to give tax payer space to "for profit" charter schools that don't service all of our diverse learners in our community.

On April 6th, 2020, a public hearing will be held to present a proposal that awards more space to Success Academy's Eva Moskowitz, at the Brian Piccolo Middle School 53 campus, in Far Rockaway, Queens.

Sign this petition to stop SA's hijacking of more rooms from this tax funded public space, which already houses two public middle schools, after promising not to ask for more space at this location beyond grades K-4.  Meanwhile, they've not been transparent about their original intent to make it a K-12 school.

Since their arrival, significant traffic congestion presents safety hazards along Nameoke Street and in our building.

More importantly, we must STOP their system of inequity and tiered segregation that excludes and sets limits on sub-groups of learners in our community through their discriminatory screening process, in order to tout higher scores on state exams.

We need our block back. We need our school back.  Success should purchase a different building suited for their needs and agenda.
