Install Safety Gates at Rupert Playground

I grew up enjoying the sprinklers at Rupert Park so now that I'm a mom I was excited to take my daughter there to cool off in the summer heat. The first thing I noticed was the lack of gates to keep the children from falling down steps. Every other park has this safety feature. After spending many weeks there, I have witnessed countless toddlers run towards those dangerous steps with worried parents dashing behind them.
While it's true that parents should keep an eye on their kids, many parents/caretakers have more than one child and are doing their best. Accidents happen and scraped knees are part of growing up, but a fall down cement steps could mean a concussion, broken bones, or worse.
Please install a gate at these steps so that our children are safe from accidents. It's a quick, cheap and easy solution to a big problem!
