Rhodes university boasts that it provides comfortable living accomodation on campus that has all basic amenities including washing machines and dryers. However the machines they provide have seemingly endless faults that result in them being removed for maintenance for weeks at a time only to be returned and break again a few days later, this has resulted in students laundry piling up. It also makes it difficult to do laundry as everyone has different schedules and the 1 semi-working machine is constantly in use and now has started to present with it owns faults. As a result we as the student body request that Rhodes University provide NEW washing machines and dryers as we pay exorbitant residence fees and it is unreasonable to provide us with such facilities.
