Fix the New Trier student WiFi
The student WiFi at New Trier is practically unusable. Students are forced to use the guest WiFi if they’d like to get work done, which overloads the guest WiFi and is significantly less secure.
The student WiFi is a necessary part of our education. Students do not use it to play games during class. They use it to research for history projects. They use it to email their teachers. They use it to communicate with their lab partners after class ends. They use it to turn in their homework on Canvas. They use it to check class notes for math class. A functioning WiFi is just as important to our education as having test tubes for chemistry or primary sources for history.
There is no shortage of funds at this school: if we can spend $75,000,000 reconstructing half the school, we can get better WiFi. If you value our education, you should give us the tools we need to learn.
