Before Covid-19 I was a team lead for two separate petitions in the state of Oregon. The first was to decimalize small possession charges so the community could seek rehabilitation instead of criminal charges for mistakes they made in the past. The second, of which I was tremendously proud to be a part of since it would be the first time in history for a whole state to have legal access to psilocybin which has been scientifically proven to support patients with PTSD, Depression, Chronic Headaches, and many other illnesses. 

     After Covid-19 hit we were no longer allowed to run our campaign and this completely broke my heart and eventually lead me to a financial position where I was forced to move back to my hometown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Recently this has inspired me to make waves back in my hometown as I have always been politically inspired and wanted to improve the power of my own voice to inspire others. 

     As suicide rates continue to rise in the State of New Mexico, I vow to change to stigmas behind potentially life changing solutions we can bring to the entire state.
