The laws against these simple replica weapons have disrupted the communities in NJ that enjoyed using them. It’s terrible to see that a once thriving airsoft (or any replica firearm stated in the title) community was put down by unnecessary laws. It’s terrible to see that no one can even enjoy shooting replica firearms, and are now forced to get firearms I.D’s for basic simple toys. The people who were really shot and injured because of owning these toys weren’t because of misuse, but by simple misunderstanding of the police force.

Residents of New Jersey who possess one of these guns are faced with the same jail time and punishment as if they had a real firearm on them. It’s really unnecessary to lock people up for replica firearms. The most the police force should do when they find one of these weapons is to warn them not to wave them around and pull it out in public.

Weapons like these that do not murder people, like real guns, should be allowed. They are a great way to feel safer and have something to defend yourself with, whether it be a break-in or being in a situation where you are being mugged. This brings me into minors use of these weapons, as I stated previously, they are a great way to defend yourself. Minors are targeted more because of their lack of strength and inability to defend themselves correctly against an armed mugging incident. Instead of minors outright murdering criminals with real firearms (which they cannot legally possess), they could disable them by injuring them with these replica versions.

There is absolutely no need for restricting these weapons. Most of the replica weapons in the title are used for recreational purposes and personal enjoyment. I personally have been fired at by these weapons while playing simple games and the pain subsides after a minute or two. It should not be so serious that New Jersey has to label these guns as real firearms, as they are only replicas.
