To Whom It May Concern,
The purpose of this letter/petition is to request that the Town of New Hempstead consider functionality and safety issues on Brick Church Road from Barrie Drive to Route 306, specifically construction of sidewalks. We request that the issues presented herein be considered in the Village Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). 
Children  and Adults walk on the street shoulders, and need safe routes  to Route 306. This includes many distinct user groups: residents who live on or around the Brick Church corridor; dog walkers, runners, and cyclists from adjacent areas.

We request that the Village consider:
� evaluating the above-noted functionality and safety issues via a design study
� researching funding sources for improvements
� elevating Brick Church on the sidewalk priority list

We understand that sidewalk and related street improvement projects are expensive. However, Brick Church in its current condition poses great danger to pedestrians and cyclists.
