Since Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning Queen of England, Canada, as a Commonwealth nation, needs a new holiday to honour her.  She was an inspirational person and leader who will be greatly missed by Canadians, and she should be remembered.   Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Governor General Mary Simon should implement a federal statutory Queen Elizabeth holiday.
