Stop the Propaganda in our Schools

Currently teachers are allowed to hang political campaign posters in their classrooms. I experienced this in my AP Gov class and felt demonized because I had opposing political views. Hanging any politically biased poster is not appropriate in an academic setting especially in a public school funded by taxpayers.

Initiative: Prohibit teachers in public schools from hanging a political campaign poster associated with any campaign that occurred within 30 years.

Education is meant to be meaningful. Students should be allowed to express their views in a hospitable environment. They shouldn't be reprimanded for their beliefs. Creating a neutral class setting will help usher in positive discussion and encourage healthy debate. To achieve this simply encourage teachers in public schools to take down personal campaign posters.
