As seniors in high school, the class of 2020 has worked endless hours for 12 years, gaining new knowledge, developing as individuals, and shaping the IPSD community in many ways. Throughout the years, students have stayed up after hours to perform the best academically as they could. Due to thorough involvement of many students in the school and community, the senior class was challenged, constantly balancing their personal and academic success with demonstrating leadership and excellence in helping others.

Though there were challenging times for these students, the class of 2020 demonstrated tremendous successes, persevering through everything that was brought to them. Therefore, it is necessary to celebrate the countless successes, constant hard work, and undeniable dedication that the seniors have brought to Neuqua Valley and the Indian Prarie Community. It is necessary to find a way to celebrate this senior class by hosting a senior spectacular, ensuring a quintessential senior prom, and closing the 12 years of success with a graduation commencement ceremony. Though it is understood that there is a major unexpected challenge in the world with the COVID-19, we must persevere, how the class of 2020 did many times, and celebrate the success that this unique group of seniors has brought to our community.

Please sign this petition to celebrate the seniors. No one should have to question their senior celebration, prom, or graduation — three highlights of a high school life that allow memories that will last them a lifetime. Even if these events have to be postponed, it is necessary that we find a way to give these seniors the lifelong defining moments that they deserve, giving them closure and celebration in their high school lives.
