Why this petition matters

Started by Stephanie Davis

In this day of finally highlighting social inequality, the move for social and media platforms to highlight racial injustices is more prevalent during this 2021 Black History Month.... or so we thought.  The point of Black History is to bring awareness and education to the still active struggle of African-Americans in the world.  Sadly, we get the comedics of a Coming to America or an emotional turmoil of a Tyler Perry film.  Where are the movies that show why we no longer will tolerate the inequality and disrespect? Let's show the Mississippi Burnings, Amistad, Rosewood, North and South and more so that others can have those powerful conversations on how things like the Capitol Riots are fears and repulsive to African Americans and should be the same for all Americans. Reach out to networks, production companies, and your paid subscriptions. Let's make this Black History month about Our History.
