Install free Drinking Water Fountains in the exciting new Dundee Rail Station

This petition had 77 supporters

The new Dundee Rail Station will open in Spring this year, another great addition to the bustling new Dundee City Waterfront, but will it be complete without adequate free drinking water facilities for the 2 million annual travellers and commuters?

Free drinking water fountains mean less reliance on one-use bottles of water which are often drunk then thrown away, and means travelers know they will be able to refill, saving on waste!

Plastic bottles can take decades to degrade in the wild, and are particularly harmful for marine wildlife who can often mistake the plastic for food, such as salmon in the Tay and whales in the North Sea.

Network Rail recently announced that commuters at Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central will benefit from these facilities, yet the brand new Dundee Rail Station seems to have been left out to dry!

Please sign this petition if you believe like me that Dundee Rail Station deserves to fully open with the best of facilities available, and that should include free drinking water fountains!
