Cancel the Netflix show depicting a female Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco known as the "Cocaine godmother". The character is set to be played by Sofia Vergara, a Colombian actress and is set to feature 6 episodes that are an hour long. 

Our Colombian community should not support more shows and films that only show Colombia's history of cocaine and drugs. Continuing to produce and market these shows means constantly portraying Colombia in a negative light based on one part of its history. There is so much more to our culture, customs, kindness, natural resources, and talent in Colombia that needs to be shared with the world. 

It is disappointing that Netflix continues to produce and profit from shows about Colombia that glorify drug lords and cocaine. We deserve better representation and the world needs to learn more than just "Colombia equals drugs".
