The Three-Body Problem and its two sequels represent science fiction at its best: innovative, thought-provoking, and spectacularly-imagined. The adaptation of those novels to Netflix's large viewing audience should be given to writers and producers who have a track record of success in such projects, and who have been shown to respect both the author's work and the justifiably high expectations of readers who deeply loved the novels.

Messrs. Benioff and Weiss demonstrably have the exact opposite of that desired record of success in such projects (see https://www.change.org/p/hbo-remake-game-of-thrones-season-8-with-competent-writers). They should be immediately removed from the Three-Body Problem Netflix adaptation, forced to write their own source material, then watch as a different set of dude-bros faithlessly 'subverts expectations' with their material.
