It has been announced that Netflix has cancelled AJ & the Queen after one season. The show was a wonderful mix of comedy, drama, and social commentary.  At a time when too many people are trying to divide us based on our differences, AJ & the Queen reminded us of the things we have in common.  We need more shows that feature diverse characters that provide young people struggling with their identity and place in this world with the promise they are not alone and that life will get better.  If you haven’t watched the series, watch it while it is still available and join us in calling on Netflix to rethink its decision to cancel this compelling story of love, family, loss, and hope.

Netflix has been bold in their decisions to produce shows that challenge us to think differently about the world around us.  We hope they will continue to be bold and provide an important vehicle to help those who feel alone and lost with a sense of hope by renewing AJ & the Queen.
