Neshoba County Supervisors, in a 4-1 vote have opted out of legalizing medical marijuana. The Neshoba Democrat Newspaper Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark endorsed the county’s decision because of several concerns one being      Increase impaired driving due to medical marijuana use. Then another is marijuana dispensaries in other areas may create an increase of black market sale or old bootlegging type operations, and call volumes will initially increase due to county residents complaining of the smell of burning marijuana, Clark goes on to say that the county that currently fields 4,445 calls annually and any increase will be problematic to the Sheriff’s Office. So people who need to smoke medical marijuana to help with pain can’t have it because county residents will complain about the smell of marijuana come on, are you serious!
