In 2019, Neipsic Road residents submitted a petition requesting the sidewalk to be extended on the south side of Neipsic Road between Karen Lee road and Wickham road. This petition expands on the original to include additional signatures from the surrounding neighborhoods (Wickham, Oakwood, Karen Lee), and including a request for a crosswalk to Oakwood Dr. 

Benefits:

• Improve safety for pedestrians instead of using the road, which has a very narrow shoulder and limited sight lines for drivers due to road curves and slope
• Increase access to J.B. Williams Park
• Enhance the interconnection of neighborhoods- Karen Lee, Oakwood Drive neighborhoods, and Wickham Road neighborhoods. These neighborhood are all buttonball school district and would increase safety for kids visiting friends.
• Increase safety/access for more students walking to/from Glastonbury High School for school and activities
• Expand access for anyone with disabilities requiring a sidewalk

This new petition will be submitted to the town manager and town council by the end of the year.  Thank you for your support!
