Registered Pets to be allowed to travel on public transport to enable owners to travel with their furry family members.
We all know the proven benefits of having our beloved pets around us and involved in our modern lifestyles, yet moving them from A to B, a trip to the local vet or dog park can prove tricky if you don’t own or have access to a car and paying for pet friendly cabs are not an affordable option.
With over populated traffic areas and the ongoing promotions of using public transport to get ourselves around, in this modern day we still can’t easily transport our pets.
Considering Australia prides itself on its great lifestyle opportunities, it’s still way behind many other countries, see below link.
To ensure health and regulatory, rules and conditions should apply and include :
Registered pets only
Fully vaccinated pets only
Pets must be contained within suitable carry ons/bags/baskets
To travel in nominated pet friendly carriages
Rules and Fines in place for pet owners causing littering, noise or disturbance
Length of travel time restrictions in approval with the RSPCA
Pet go cards so not at the cost of tax payers
