Bedford Central School District is suggesting the possibility of closing 1-2 of our community elementary schools without any evidence of significant savings to the taxpayers. Many residents don’t want to see their property values depreciate. Being that the schools and grounds still would need to be maintained, employees would have to be relocated, students would endure long bus trips and potential buyers would be reluctant to purchase our homes we don’t feel this move is justified. Please sign the petition to voice your concern and let the district know you would rather keep all schools open with smaller class sizes than go forward with these plans.
