City Council is scheduled to vote Monday, June 19th (5PM) on Bill 17-0049. Please sign this online petition to demand time for community evaluation as required.
The two largest neighborhoods adjacent to the "Overlook at Roland Park" development were not included in the city approval process, meaning thousands of individuals were excluded; so this week boards of Mt. Washington Improvement Association and Roland Park Civic League both voted against the development. A majority of the few hundred households in bordering North Roland Park, Poplar Hill and Sabina-Mattfeldt have signed petitions opposing the project. We must stop the re-zoning process, called a PUD, until all affected communities have time to study the project. If the project is as good as the developer says it is, then it will be just as good in 60 days after we have all had a chance to understand what the project actually is.
The location at Falls Rd. and Northern Parkway is a failing intersection servicing 50,000 vehicles daily.
