Let’s get this passed and start building our new Riviera Middle School and YMCA. For the benefit of our children and the community show the council all neighborhoods are united in support of the plans being presented to the city by the architects and city officials at the upcoming council meeting.

Prior petitions will undoubtedly be challenged at the City Council meeting for many reasons and continued community disagreements on traffic detail may only cause more delays or denial of the entire project by the city council as it was by the Development Review Commission.  

The solution lies in the unity of the community, not the fragmented opinions of many. The new plan being submitted by the architects does not change any aspect of the school, YMCA, athletic field, or parking area and works in everyone’s favor by moving traffic rapidly off 62nd Ave while keeping traffic out of the neighborhoods. 

Fighting for an insufficient plan denied by the Development Review Commission is an uphill battle. Let’s take the easier road and unite for approval of the plan now supported by the DRC and architects that meets everyone's needs.
