Maintenance of town by N E Lincs Council

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

Having driven and walked around various parts of the town, it has become apparent that grounds maintenance has fallen by the way side. NELC have raised our council tax, reduced recycling collections and made other cuts to tax payers services in the borough, whilst wasting money on unnecessary paving, street lighting and re-routing roads in the town centre. We deserve to live in a town where public footpaths, grass verges, parks and recreational facilities are not overgrown with weeds and hedges. Throughout the town grass and weeds are knee high, looking untidy and gathering rubbish.  What we find particularly disturbing is the fact that voluntary sport coaches are having to take their own lawnmowers to public fields and mow the grass, just to allow children to play sports. This really isn't good enough NELC. Hedging on corners is becoming obstructive to motorists with potential to cause accidents.  Paticularly on the Ploggers where the cycle path and sport facilities are obstructed by overgrown hedges and fields. Pull your mowers out and tidy up our town. We've had enough of austerity and cuts.
