The NDIA ignored my doctors and OT report and recommendations to fund accommodation funding medium-term accommodation until i can find a SIL (supported independent living) placement that is safe and suitable for my disability needs. They ignored my other spinal and neurological disabilities too and that  i am not able to move currently due to health and disability reasons. The NDIA are kicking me out at extremely short notice into homelessness from my disability accommodation (MTA). I am not on a lease so have no tenancy rights.

Please reform disability accommodation's and the tenancy act, so me and other tenants like me, have tenancy rights to appeal short-notice evictions, and so our accommodations can be protected for minimum tenancy standards (so we can get repairs actioned that our landlords don't fix). Please attorney general refer NDIS housing law reforms, to the victorian law reform commission. I am paying rent like everyone else but i have no tenancy rights as my housing is not covered by the tenancy act and doesn't meet minimum tenancy safety standards. Please ensure disability accomm providers are covered by the disability discrimination act so they can't discriminate against my immune disabilities by refusing to house me self-contained. 

NDIA are doing this at a time of year (Christmas/ new year) while i can't get a lawyer and while AAT have a backlog of urgent appeals cases and can't hear my case til mid 2022.  This petition asks AAT to hear my appeal case urgently. Please NDIA, let me use my core funding to fund this housing until i can have my appeal heard in court at AAT.  Please do not kick me out into homelessness while i am at high risk of dying from my complex health conditions and disabilities, and while i am too sick with my health to move. It is disability discrimination. My health and disabilities are hard enough to live with without being fully homeless or living in a shed with a rainwater tank, in a covid unsafe area, which is the only rental option i have been offered so far. I am high risk dying from covid due to my 3 immune disabilities and 2 lung disabilities, Please i am begging NDIA to let me use my core NDIS funding to not kick me out of my housing, until i can have my internal review appeal heard at the AAT.

My OT report and recommendations and my doctors support this, please listen to them, and please listen to me as long-term homelessness has been the reason why i am so disabled but NDIS want to make me more disabled. I will be at risk of total and permanent disability if i am homeless again due to sleep deprivation i end up having more falls and more permanent injuries, and walking out in front of cars accidentally as i am so tired/fatigued i forget to look both ways. NDIA will pay for more disability workers as my needs worsen but they won't help me find stable accessible long-term housing which would decrease my need for disability supports.
