This investigation(s) or "witch hunt" as we the Tar Heel fans call it, have been going on for long enough. It's time to drop this frivolous case against UNC, clearing the University's name of any wrong doing from these false accusations/allegations. It's been going on for a decade now.
If the NCAA had any type of evidence it would have been presented in the beginning and a course of action/punishment would have already taken place. "hearsay" isn't evidence and is inadmissible.
The NCAA has no authority over Student academic affairs in a College University.
The NCAA isn't following their own bylaws. Also, the chairman(Mr. Greg Sankey) of this investigation is a Commissioner from an athletic program in another conference, the 'SEC.' He will be partial and biased against UNC. He needs to recuse himself from this investigation. His unwillingness to recuse himself should speak volumes for itself. The allowance of Mr. Sankey to proceed as the Chairman is a conflict of interest.
This investigation has cost the University of North Carolina millions of money and has tarnished the reputation of the University. It has plagued the recruitment efforts of gaining star players for the Athletic Department.
We, as UNC fans that spend our hard earned money on tickets, merchandise, memorabilia, etc...that supports the ACC and the NCAA demand this investigation of Academic fraud to cease and desist.
We, the fans are tired of the NCAA's antics of discrimination and bullying against UNC. If the ACC and NCAA would further like our financial support then it's past time to dismiss these charges and to publicly apologize to the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. We demand this investigation to end NOW.
