Brad Huffman started this petition to NCAA and

On December 29th, Ohio State played against Clemson in the College Football Playoff Semi-Final, where the winner plays for the CFB National Championship.  During the game, there were many questionable calls that lead to the outcome of the game.  One of the calls, an overturned reception/fumble recovery, actually cost Ohio State 7 points, which would have put the Buckeyes ahead of Clemson - 30-29.  OSU would have won the game and would play LSU in the National Championship game in New Orleans.

The call on the field was a catch by a Clemson receiver, and a subsequent fumble recovery for a touchdown by OSU.  The play was reviewed and then overturned.  At no point was there ANY evidence that the Clemson receiver did not have possession of the football.  Since the call on the field was a catch, there must be INDISPUTABLE evidence.  After the game, there have been many officiating experts who have come out and said that it was a catch, and the play should have stood.

We are calling on the NCAA to open an investigation into why this play was overturned, and to implement corrective action ASAP.  This should never happen today, where rogue officials overturn a play/touchdown that cost a team a victory.
