Petition to The NC Department of Transportation For A Traffic Light and School Zone Signs/Road Markings

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, HEREBY PETITION the North Carolina Department of Transportation to place a traffic light at the intersection of Highway 56 East, Ronald Tharrington Road and East River Road, Louisburg, NC in Franklin County. Crosscreek Charter School should also have school zone signs/road markings due to it being a new school these safety precautions are not in place yet. 

WE STATE OR BELIEVE:

-That the petitioners are residents of Franklin County, NC & Surrounding Counties.
-That there is a significant increase in vehicle related accidents and traffic related incidents at this intersection due to increase of traffic now that 2 Schools are near this intersection, Terrell Lane Middle School & Crosscreek Charter School.
-That a stop light at this intersection, if approved and installed, would save lives, prevent injuries of drivers and pedestrians, and protect the property of the citizens of Louisburg, NC.  
-That with a new school, the increase in traffic increases the risk of incidents of traffic congestion, and injury due to accidents.
