Mandatory Mental Health Education in NC Schools

Bullying is on the rise in our state. More and more students are taking their lives because of bullying and the the fact that mental health is not talked about in schools. As a society, we tend to write off the issues of our youth. Bullying is being seen as amost a right of passage as our friends, family, and school staff ignore or do not take notice. Almosy nothing is done in schools for the students who are being bullied or even the ones doing the bulling. How will children and teens be able to recognize the signs of depression and anxiety if they are not properly educated on the issue? Something has got to change. It is an issue that needa to be discussed in schools. There needs to be proper training for staff to recognize signs of bullying and depression. We need to fight to fix the school system for our sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and children to come. After all these students are our future. Please share and sign this petition. Help bring change to the schools of NC and hopefully we can spread this across America. After all, we have to start somewhere.
