Save Rise and Give it a Second Season
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
This year, NBC debuted a new show called Rise, which is a show that I really enjoyed. Despite the fact that the show did struggle with ratings, I felt certain that NBC still was going to renew the show given how Jason Katims created the show, it came on after The Voice, it was heavily promoted, and it really seemed like NBC enjoyed the show in general, especially since they invited a couple actors of the show to a press party. To my shock, NBC canceled it. Now that NBC canceled the show, we won’t have the opportunity to see if Simon does come out as gay (if he doesn't in the finale), we won’t have the opportunity to hear Gordy sing, we won't have the opportunity to see if the Mazzu family ends up adopting Maashous (if that issue is unsolved in the finale), and other things. To make matters worse, NBC renewed a show that did even worse in the ratings than Rise. Why would NBC cancel Rise, but renew the show that did worse? It makes no sense and it isn’t fair. And it’s even more stunning that when we got a #RiseAgain trend going on Twitter, which even Sara Bareillies, who's dating one of the actors joined in on, yet NBC didn't care nor listen to us and still canceled the show. I hope you all will sign the petition, and hopefully it will cause NBC to reconsider and give the show a second season. This petition isn’t just towards NBC; it’s towards other networks in the case that if NBC doesn’t want to renew the show, another network would hopefully pick up the series. Please sign the petition, the more signatures, the better, and hopefully, either NBC will reconsider, or another network will pick up the show.
