Publicly support the Olympic Games Moment of Silence for the Munich 11

The International Olympic Committee is committing a hypocritical act of cowardice and bigotry by refusing to hold a minute of silence to honor the 11 Israeli athletes murdered ten Olympic Games ago. They held such a moment for an individual athlete killed in a car crash, but steadfastly refuse to to the right thing.

This petition requests that NBC publicly communicate their support for the Moment of Silence to the IOC. In fact, we would invite the network to broadcast public service announcements to that effect, starting as quickly as feasible and continuing through the start of the games.

To signers of this petition from outside the USA: I invite you to start similar petitions directed at the networks that will carry the games in your countries, too.

In addition to petitions aimed directly at the IOC, I hope we will petition the networks that plan to televise the games, so that they publicly endorse the idea through communications and even Public Service Announcement ads.

To kindred spirits from other nations: we invite you to start petitions to your respective networks as well.
