This is heartbreaking to the Deaf community including myself. Im Deaf & I was stunned to hear about this even I didn't have cable to watch Super bowl. If I did, I would be furious to see my own language (American Sign Language aka ASL) not exposing on TV.

I have a deaf child and would not want him to be treated like this.

I've always supported the deaf and impaired hearing community, and it is appalling to see that this lovely lady wasn't even put on television because it isn't something "popular". We all need to change our views of the world, and put focus on the things that matter, like this.

Don't need to prevent another language being heard through the signs of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Equal access to the Deaf Community. I am a sign language interpreter that supports our Deaf community.

I am an ASL interpreter student and I think it rude that people cannot be shown how successful someone in that community truly can be. The fact that you or NBC couldn't take time to pan over to Miss Rachel Mazique is rude and shows your incompetence in this area of our world.

What if the hearing lives in the Deaf world, will Deaf people leaves the hearing out of the spotlight? No means! Because Deaf people have been living in the hearing world. What about the hearing people who could respect the Deaf world. Hearing people did not realize Deaf people know two languages (English/ ASL) that the hearing only knows one language. The hearing only lives in only one world but two worlds for Deaf people. They can do anything except hearing and the hearing can do anything except communication barrier of sign language.
