Petition to give notice to Navarro county commissioners and county judge not to approve tax abatement, windmill, and other similar projects in Navarro County, Texas.  In any vote in 2022  by said commissioners court.

On January 24, the commissioners court will vote on providing tax abatements for nearly 42,000 acres (65 square miles) of solar and wind projects.

The county should not incentivize these companies to come in and destroy the countryside. Realize they are giving tax breaks so big solar and wind companies can further line their pockets and line the pockets of a few select landowners. This is not right.

Our commissioners stated they never hear any opposition to these projects. Please consider signing the attached petition and let your voice be heard. Continue calling and emailing each commissioner and the county judge.

Please know this vote has nothing to do with school districts offering tax abatements on their own.
