Maintain and improve Celbridge-Dublin City commuter bus service

The national Transport Authority and BusConnect have published their proposals for the redesign of the Dublin Area Bus Network. As part of the proposal, the 67 and 67x routes serving the people of Celbridge will be removed and replaced with a service through Leixlip, in addition to Lucan. This will add significantly to commute times to Dublin City centre, at a time when the Celbridge population is growing significantly due to new developments in the area.
The purpose of this petition is to insist that the NTA maintain and improve upon the current routes for Celbridge residents, with improved commute times for workers and students to the city centre, as opposed to worsening the current situation with the new proposals. An additional route from Celbridge which bypasses Leixlip, Lucan and Chapelizod would facilitate this.
