Richard Bohan started this petition to National Transport Aurhority and

The new planned road lanes may see mature 100 year old trees all over Dublin cut down. This should not happen and if it does, will affect residents, housing prices, local wildlife, and all those future generations who'll grow up seeing a tree-less, bland Dublin.

Keeping Dublin as green as possible, especially where it's been green for over 100 years, is a necessity. Someone of us have grown up on the tree lined roads of Dublin and these trees and like family, we've seen them so much. These trees are older than evey living Dublin city resident by this point, and they should be kept as part or our history, culture, and to show how beautiful Ireland can be.

Dublin already has less than 10% tree coverage, and our air quality is abysmal compared to what it was 5 years ago. Keeping all trees and planting more is vital for the survival of our city and population and tourism, because no one pays to see ugly and boring and smelly.

This petition, and the others like it, will hopefully show our government that they answer to us, the people of Ireland, and not the developers and privateers lining their pockets. Your voice matters and is important and together we can save the beauty of our city.

Thank you for singing.
