The North-Eastern part of India is undoubtedly one of the most region of the country. In fact, the condition could possibly worsen in the future if not taken care of properly and diplomatically. On top of that, the University of Hyderabad administration, who is already quite infamous in terms of scrapping of policies and courses have stooped down to scrap off an important reservation policy meant specifically for the students hailing from the North-Eastern and Union Territories.
This move could jeopardize the already unstable situation in the North-East, discourage the budding students from this states to migrate over to mainland for pursuing their higher studies, which could lead to more of them involving themselves in terrorism.
Apart from that the 6 Union Territories in the country which won't run well without any proper aid from the central government, it's important to give the students from these regions an equal opportunity to study at a national university.
Thus scraping off such a reservation policy can be considered as a transgression towards a specific student community. NSUI has always been against such injustice and will always be in the future. I, Vagish Mishra, President, NSUI-UoH, on behalf of the NSUI-UoH community promise to strive against this to bring about justice to the whole of UoH student community.
