It is without a doubt that these fundi cards that students are institutionally forced to use do not benefit students in any way. Therefore, this petition serves as a tool to reach to the National Skills Fund officials who have the authority to influence the decision of which method of allowances is utilized. As students of the University of Johannesburg who are funded by the NSF, we have come to realise that NSFAS beneficiaries get cash allowances while we get fundi cards. This is an injustice posed by the authorities to students for the benefit of certain individuals (Fundi service), and it is a human right violation because NSF is also a government scheme that funds students who do well academically, so it is wrong for its beneficiaries to be treated unfairly. This is a rape to the NSF beneficiaries!
