Bring back Cheerleaders to Parramatta Eels games!
Why this petition matters
The cheerleaders and apart of NRL history.
Alot of people have no idea of the behind the scene work and charity the cheerleaders do. Visiting sick kids in hospitals, providing a day for disabled fans and helping little girls become involved in the league in a fun way.
It is backwards to think cutting one of the only female dominate ways to be involved in the league is progressive. It has been rumoured they have cut the cheerleaders as it makes a extremely small percentage of fans including South Sydney’s Russel Crowe “uncomfortable” as they often are spotted in athleisure wear. While uniforms can always be altered to a more family friendly approach the big question is how many girls dreams and love for the game are about to be destroyed because somebody is upset about a crop top and a female doing a high kick ...
The girls themselves are incredible athletes who train incredibly hard to provide a great game atmosphere.
Younger girls look up to them and they often give girls and boys a reason to enjoy going to a home game while there parents, partners or boyfriend watch the games.
They represent so much more than just shaking Pom poms and do a variety of thing on game days and at a corporate, community and charity events across the year.
