Because the plans are dangerous but they especially make people walking home alone at night much more vulnerable. This is a terrible idea

I'm a tax paying resident with rights. Lower the council tax rates if you wanna make money off tourists more.

The plans will cause significant disruption to York residents for the benefit of the tourists.

It's impractical for residents. Congestion on this road, especially in peak times is already dire. Travelling into town via Bootham is horrendously slow by car. Poppleton road route is also longer and more time consuming. Moving traffic from Leeman road onto these routes will not only close the best access into and out of town, but increase the already congested routes around it

It is a ridiculous idea and a waste of taxpayers money.

The National Railway Museum are very arrogant in their wish to straddle Leeman Road with a new building which therefore closes it to York Residents

Leeman Road is a vital route into and out of York. How are people living in this area supposed to travel into the city? How are people supposed to get to the station except by already congested Bootham and Museum Street or the equally jammed up A59. I don't know who's bright idea this latest bit of madness is. It seems that residents no longer matter as long as tourism is encouraged.
