In April 2020, the National PTA accepted a $2 million donation from TikTok (https://newsroom.tiktok.com/en-us/partnering-with-national-pta-to-support-students-and-educators-in-our-community This is dirty money from a big tech social media company that has alternative motives for collecting youth data that is not in the best interests of our youth. TikTok's addictive design and the inappropriate content found on its platform is not suitable for healthy brain development, social development nor the well-being of children.
