Mount Rushmore was carved by Gutzon Borglum who was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. The presidents that they picked to go on Mount Rushmore are George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Thomas Jefferson. George Washington owned 200+ slaves and his dentures were made out of his slaves’ teeth. Abraham Lincoln could have cared less about the slaves being free, he also ordered the largest mass hanging of 40 Dakota men for practicing their culture. Thomas Jefferson raped child slaves in order to pursue natives to extermination. Finally, Teddy Roosevelt who said that “the only good indian is a dead one”.
